Candidates must file reports with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fec.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Federal Election Commission<\/a> by Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">White, during the fourth quarter of 2007 \u2013 his first in the race \u2013 raised just under $213,000, so he surpassed that during the first three months of 2008. In the newest quarter, according to the news release, 96 percent of White\u2019s contributions came from New Mexicans, with 78 percent of his contributors giving less than $100.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cWe are picking up momentum, and the strong grassroots support demonstrates that New Mexicans are ready to shake up <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Washington<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> with honest, independent leadership,\u201d White said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">White will receive additional aid from a national Republican group. According to an article in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cqpolitics.com\/wmspage.cfm?docID=news-000002698838\" target=\"_blank\">CQ Politics<\/a>, he\u2019s one of 10 Republican candidates across the nation who the GOP\u2019s Regain Our Majority Program has listed this year as being in difficult races and in need of extra money.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Though White has a primary opponent \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.peopleforjoe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Joe Carraro<\/a> \u2013 many Republicans, including the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rnc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Republican National Committee<\/a>, have already lined up behind White.
