McCain\u2019s schedule includes stops in <st1:state st=\"on\">Mississippi<\/st1:state>, <st1:state st=\"on\">Virginia<\/st1:state>, <st1:state st=\"on\">Maryland<\/st1:state>, <st1:state st=\"on\">Florida<\/st1:state> and <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Arizona<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Though McCain isn\u2019t scheduled to visit New Mexico next week, <a href=\"http:\/\/haussamen.blogspot.com\/2008\/03\/rnc-to-hold-chairmens-meeting-in-nm.html\">as I reported on Thursday<\/a>, his campaign manager, Rick Davis, will speak a week from today at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rnc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Republican National Committee\u2019s<\/a> 2008 state chairmen\u2019s meeting at the Santa Ana Pueblo near Bernalillo. One of McCain\u2019s top financial advisers, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Carly_Fiorina\" target=\"_blank\">Carly Fiorina<\/a>, will also speak at the meeting on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The 60-second ad is airing statewide beginning today, according to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.johnmccain.com\/Informing\/News\/PressReleases\/0fd6c182-1524-4e8c-a83e-96ae654fcaae.htm\" target=\"_blank\">news release<\/a> from the McCain campaign. The campaign chose to start the ad in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>, according to the news release, because it is \u201can important battleground state.\u201d It will air in other states in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The ad begins with McCain speaking to an enthusiastic crowd.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cKeep that faith. Keep your courage. Stick together. Stay strong. Do not yield. Stand up. We\u2019re Americans, and we\u2019ll never surrender,\u201d McCain says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The ad, which is designed to introduce McCain as a war hero and tough would-be commander-in-chief, then goes to a narrator who suggests that a president must believe <st1:country-region st=\"on\">America<\/st1:country-region> and liberty and worth protecting, that <st1:country-region st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">America<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>\u2019s people are honorable and that its future is prosperous.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The narrator also suggests that people must believe the president has \u201cwalked the walk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Then it goes to now widely-viewed video of McCain being interviewed as a prisoner of war in <st1:country-region st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Vietnam<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>. He gives his rank and service number.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The ad concludes with the narrator saying, \u201cJohn McCain.
