It announced Wednesday evening that 149 people had given a total of $12,607.27 \u2013 an average of $84 per donation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cThat\u2019s exactly what we needed when we needed it,\u201d the campaign wrote in an e-mail to supporters announcing that Nader\u2019s \u201croad-trippers\u201d are on their way to <st1:city st=\"on\">Albuquerque<\/st1:city> and <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Santa Fe<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">One of them is Emily Brackett.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cI am so proud to be a part of a campaign that is intended for people who feel abandoned or let down by our political system,\u201d she said in the e-mail. \u201cMay our efforts begin in the deserts of <st1:state st=\"on\">New  Mexico<\/st1:state> and may they finally end and bring peace and resolution to the ravaged deserts of <st1:country-region st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Iraq<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">If Nader\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.votenader.org\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Web site<\/a> is any indication, <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New   Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> is one of his campaign\u2019s early focuses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Supporters of Ralph Nader\u2019s longshot independent presidential bid are on their way to New Mexico to try to get him on the ballot.
