Gov. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ltgovernor.state.nm.us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Diane Denish<\/a>, Albuquerque Mayor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cabq.gov\/mayor\" target=\"_blank\">Martin Ch\u00e1vez<\/a> has spent the last two days campaigning for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hillaryclinton.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hillary Clinton<\/a> in <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:city st=\"on\">El Paso<\/st1:city><\/st1:place>.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Ch\u00e1vez endorsed <st1:city st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:city> before she won <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:state><\/st1:place>\u2019s Feb. 5 caucus. He said today that he has spent the last two days doing radio interviews and working phone banks in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">El   Paso<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cI think it\u2019s going well. Turnout looks good,\u201d he said. \u201cThey had a lot of early voting down here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The mayor also attended a rally on Monday evening with former President <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bill_clinton\" target=\"_blank\">Bill Clinton<\/a>, and said it was \u201cwell-attended.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/R83LZdMKQAI\/AAAAAAAAFJY\/zmsA9B877eU\/s1600-h\/Clinton,+Hillary.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/R83LZdMKQAI\/AAAAAAAAFJY\/zmsA9B877eU\/s200\/Clinton,+Hillary.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5174015185111367682\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>\u201cMy sense is she\u2019s going to carry <st1:state st=\"on\">Texas<\/st1:state>,\u201d Ch\u00e1vez said of Hillary Clinton He noted that it\u2019s difficult to be certain, however, because <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">El Paso<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> is not necessarily a measure of the rest of the state.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">El Paso<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>, Ch\u00e1vez said, is very pro-Clinton. The state is expected to be a close contest between her and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barackobama.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Barack Obama<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Ch\u00e1vez added that he\u2019ll probably travel next to <st1:state st=\"on\">Pennsylvania<\/st1:state> to campaign for <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>. That primary is on April 22.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cI\u2019m going wherever they need me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Like Lt.
