Or will he wait until after 6 p.m. to act, daring the Senate to take him to court?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Phil Sisneros, spokesman for the attorney general, is among those who keeping an eye on the situation. He said the AG doesn\u2019t have plans to join any lawsuit, even though he has sided with the Senate in the dispute.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cWe\u2019ve said what we believe and there\u2019s no much else we can do,\u201d Sisneros said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Sen. <a href=\"http:\/\/legis.state.nm.us\/lcs\/legdetails.asp?Name=288&amp;Submit=Search\" target=\"_blank\">John Arthur Smith<\/a>, D-Deming, said he expects <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:city><\/st1:place> to act on the bills just before 6 p.m. If he doesn\u2019t, the bills will be delivered to the secretary of state for final certification.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Meanwhile, I can\u2019t tell you what\u2019s going on in the meeting between Richardson and House Democrats. I can tell you there is a lot of behind-the-scenes political wrangling taking place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Check back here throughout the evening for updates.
