Whether it\u2019s working to provide health care to every American or strengthening our schools, Hillary will stand up for us as president.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Other elected officials endorsing Clinton at the event included Las Cruces City Councilor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.las-cruces.org\/council\/district3.shtm\" target=\"_blank\">Dolores Archuleta<\/a>, Do\u00f1a Ana County Commissioners <a href=\"http:\/\/www.donaanacounty.org\/commissioners\/district1\/\" target=\"_blank\">Oscar V\u00e1squez Butler<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.donaanacounty.org\/commissioners\/district3\/\" target=\"_blank\">Karen Perez<\/a>, Las Cruces Public Schools Board of Education Member Chuck Davis and Hatch Mayor Judd Nordyke. That brings the number of local elected officials endorsing <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> to seven, while 10 have endorsed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barackobama.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Barack Obama<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Former elected officials endorsing <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> on Sunday included former Do\u00f1a Ana County Clerk Ruben Ceballos, former Las Cruces City Councilor Jose Frietze, former Do\u00f1a Ana County Treasurer and state party Chair Emma Johnson-Ortiz, former Sunland Park City Councilor Alicia Roman and former Las Cruces Mayor Ruben Smith.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> was also endorsed by several union and party leaders including Helen Davis, president of the National Education Association-Las Cruces, and Pablo Martinez, state director for New Mexico League of United Latin American Citizens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cThe change that Hispanic families in <st1:state st=\"on\">New  Mexico<\/st1:state> need is the kind of change that only experience can bring,\u201d <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Martinez<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> said. \u201cHillary Clinton is ready to provide real solutions on the tough issues that Americans are facing on day one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Meanwhile, <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> is set to host a national town-hall meeting this evening beginning at 6 p.m. You can watch it on the Hallmark Channel or <st1:city st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:city>\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hillaryclinton.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Web site<\/a> or, if you\u2019re in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Albuquerque<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>, you can attend a town-hall-watching event at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalhispaniccenter.org\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=49&amp;Itemid=206\" target=\"_blank\">National Hispanic Cultural Center\u2019s<\/a> Bank of America Auditorium and Film Theater.
