It tells New Mexicans that he grew up in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Hobbs<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>, \u201cexcelled at 4-H,\u201d served in the Air Force and is a family man and businessman.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cSteve Pearce shares our conservative values,\u201d the ad\u2019s narrator states. \u201cLower taxes, stronger borders and a solid record of fighting al Qaeda and Islamic terrorism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The ad is a wise move for the Pearce campaign. He needs to build name recognition outside of the Southern New Mexico District he represents, and he has an opportunity to craft his own image among many voters in the rest of the state.
