You can view the reports by clicking <a href=\"http:\/\/www.haussamen.com\/D6firstreports.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Trujillo<\/st1:city>, a real-estate broker and president of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hispanochamberlc.org\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Hispano Chamber of Commerce de Las Cruces<\/a>, reported raising $9,555 and spending $9,600.50. She had a number of contributions of $250 or less, many from prominent members of the <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Las   Cruces<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> business community, and a $3,500 contribution from her husband, who is also her campaign treasurer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Second in fundraising was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sharonthomasforcitycouncil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sharon Thomas<\/a>, former head of the <a href=\"http:\/\/qga-nm.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Quality Growth Alliance<\/a>. She reported raising $6,132.53 and spending $4,184.84. Contributions included a $2,000 gift to her own campaign, gifts of $200 or less from many people involved in the \u201csmart growth\u201d movement, $75 from state Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/legis.state.nm.us\/lcs\/legdetails.asp?Name=323&amp;Submit=Search\" target=\"_blank\">Nate Cote<\/a> and $25 from state Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/legis.state.nm.us\/lcs\/legdetails.asp?Name=321&amp;Submit=Search\" target=\"_blank\">Jeff Steinborn<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Third was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.votejoy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lawrence Joy<\/a>, the owner of a direct mail advertising firm and the voice of <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:placename st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:placename> <st1:placetype st=\"on\">State<\/st1:placetype> <st1:placetype st=\"on\">University<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place>\u2019s marching band. He raised $2,250, including an $1,800 loan he made to his own campaign, and spent $2,159.77.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Fourth was Berchard Ray Shipley, a former planning commission member for a city in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">California<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>, who raised $1,100, including a $1,000 loan he made to his own campaign, and spent $746.12.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Fifth was former Do\u00f1a Ana County Magistrate Judge Patrick J. Curran, who contributed $205.68 to his own campaign and has also spent that amount.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The election will be held on Jan. 15. Early and absentee voting are underway.
