Period.<\/p>\n<p>On Pawlenty, consider the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He decided not to run for re-election as governor of Minnesota because?\u00a0Exactly, because he is running for president.<\/li>\n<li>And his team created the Freedom First Pac because? Exactly, because he is running for president.<\/li>\n<li>And, Pawlenty just released a book,\u00a0<em>Courage to Stand, <\/em>on January 18, 2011 because?\u00a0You get the drill.\u00a0The man is running for president, and this is exactly why he is showing up at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ffcoalition.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Faith &amp; Freedom Coalition Forum<\/a> tonight in Des Moines, Iowa. Iowa,\u00a0 ah, Iowa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"float: right; padding-left: 10px; padding-bottom: 10px; padding-top: 5px;\">\n<hr\/>\n<div style=\"font-size: 10px;margin:-14px 0 -14px 0;\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<p><iframe src=\"http:\/\/rcm.amazon.com\/e\/cm?t=nmponet-20&#038;o=1&#038;p=8&#038;l=as1&#038;asins=1414345720&#038;fc1=000000&#038;IS2=1&#038;lt1=_blank&#038;m=amazon&#038;lc1=0000FF&#038;bc1=000000&#038;bg1=FFFFFF&#038;f=ifr\" style=\"width:120px;height:240px;\" scrolling=\"no\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n <\/div>\n<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/firstread.msnbc.msn.com\/_news\/2011\/03\/07\/6210337-first-thoughts-romney-30?pc=25&amp;sp=75\" target=\"_blank\">MSNBC reported<\/a> this morning:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;In Iowa tonight, five Republicans who either have formed presidential exploratory committees or will probably do so soon &#8211; Herman Cain, Buddy Roemer, Rick Santorum, Tim Pawlenty, and Newt Gingrich &#8211; will speak at a forum organized by the Iowa Faith &amp; Freedom Coalition. Per NBC\u2019s Rob Rivas, Cain is expected to speak at 8:05 pm ET, Pawlenty goes at 8:17 pm, Roemer\u2019s speech is at 8:29 pm, Santorum\u2019s is 8:41 pm, and Gingrich\u2019s is TBD.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>On Gingrich, I am not sure how a man who had an affair and is now on his third (not second) marriage somehow thinks the social conservative right will overlook this cardinal sin and nominate him.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t get it, but apparently he does, and ergo Newt is\u00a0running for president. Just the other day, he admitted that he was &#8220;testing the waters.&#8221; And if you had any further doubt, his website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newt.org\">newt.org<\/a>&#8211; which is essentially a Reagan fest &#8211; all but screams, &#8220;I am running for president.&#8221;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>And Newt is joining T Paw in Des Moines this evening.\u00a0Finally, check out the tweet below from earlier today &#8211; Newt&#8217;s taking an uber-extreme stance on\u00a0the life issue now in March 2011 because? You&#8217;ve got it, he&#8217;s running hard for the GOP nomination in 2012.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;newtgingrich\u200e: Will be proposing several Exec Orders for the POTUS to consider. 1st, reauthorize Reagan&#8217;s ban on federal $ paying for abortions.\u00a0#life&#8221; (from <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/NEWTGINGRICH\" target=\"_blank\">twitter.com\/NEWTGINGRICH<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As a reminder, these recent blogs are posts about who I believe is running for president in 2012 and who is not.\u00a0They\u2019re based on what I\u2019ve read and\/or what has been geniusly imparted to me.\u00a0 Like you, I reserve the right to change my mind and correct my predictions.\u00a0That said, the goal is to nail it the first time.
