Having to raise a couple of million dollars and campaign over half the state when the voting-strength numbers are so challenging looked like something we should pass on,\u201d Moore said Monday. \u201cI\u2019ve got a wife I want to spend more time with, some grandkids that need to go fishing with their grandpa and a business that I really enjoy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Moore<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> announced in November that he wouldn\u2019t seek re-election next year, ending an eight-year career as a state representative. He also said at the time that he had been encouraged to and would consider running for Congress, though he said winning in the liberal district as a Republican would be tough.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Moore<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> said there is a lot he\u2019ll miss about the Legislature, \u201cbut it\u2019s time to let someone else have their turn at honor and glory.\u201d He also said he is \u201creally looking forward to my last session\u201d that begins in January.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">One Republican, attorney Marco E. Gonzales, is running for Udall\u2019s House seat. The Democrats in the race are attorney <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jonadamsforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jon Adams<\/a>, Public Regulation Commission Chairman <a href=\"http:\/\/www.benrlujan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ben R. Luj\u00e1n<\/a>, Santa Fe County Commissioner <a href=\"http:\/\/www.montoyaforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Harry B. Montoya<\/a>, state Indian Affairs Secretary Benny Shendo Jr. and <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Santa   Fe<\/st1:city><\/st1:place> green builder <a href=\"http:\/\/donfornewmexico.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Don Wiviott<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>State Rep.
