His Real Clear Politics average today of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2008\/president\/ia\/iowa_democratic_caucus-208.html\" target=\"_blank\">recent polls in Iowa<\/a> is 7.3 percent, and his average of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2008\/president\/nh\/new_hampshire_democratic_primary-194.html\" target=\"_blank\">recent polls in New Hampshire<\/a> is 6.6 percent. With the governor betting his candidacy on a finish of third or better in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Iowa<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>, he needs something big to happen today.
