Curran; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.votejoy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lawrence Joy<\/a>, the owner of a direct mail advertising firm and the voice of NMSU\u2019s marching band; Berchard Ray Shipley, who has a background in the military, commercial property management and community planning; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sharonthomasforcitycouncil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sharon Thomas<\/a>, former head of the <a href=\"http:\/\/qga-nm.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Quality Growth Alliance<\/a>; and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.karentrujillo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Karen Trujillo<\/a>, a real-estate broker and president of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hispanochamberlc.org\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Hispano Chamber of Commerce de Las Cruces<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Candidates will draw for ballot position at 5:01 p.m. today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The election is Jan. 15. Absentee voting by mail begins Dec. 19. In-person early voting begins Dec. 26 and will be held at the City Clerk\u2019s office, located in the basement of City Hall, <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?f=q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;time=&amp;date=&amp;ttype=&amp;q=200+north+church+street,+las+cruces&amp;sll=37.0625,-95.677068&amp;sspn=37.410045,61.171875&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=32.311147,-106.777711&amp;spn=0.009757,0.014935&amp;z=16&amp;iwloc=addr&amp;om=1\" target=\"_blank\">200 North Church Street<\/a>.
