It is my hope that Northern New Mexico\u2019s next representative is as strong and progressive as Tom has been, and it would be an honor to succeed him,\u201d <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Zamora<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> said. \u201cFor me and my family, however, now is the time to remain in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> and continue working for change here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Zamora<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> currently serves as a board member of the New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the New Mexico Domestic Violence Leadership Commission, the Attorney General\u2019s Advisory Board and the New Mexico Sports Authority Advisory Committee. Earlier this year, <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Zamora<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> served as a member of the Governor\u2019s Task Force on Ethics Reform.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Democrats <a href=\"http:\/\/donfornewmexico.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Don Wiviott<\/a> and Santa Fe County Commissioner <a href=\"http:\/\/www.santafecounty.org\/about_us\/harry_montoya.php\" target=\"_blank\">Harry Montoya<\/a> have both entered the Third Congressional District race, and a number of others are seriously considering it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: italic;\" class=\"MsoNormal\">A prior version of this posting did not state that Montoya had entered the race.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Geno Zamora, former attorney general candidate and former chief legal counsel to Gov.
