It\u2019s exactly one year before the Nov. 4, 2008 election.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I pressed Cervantes for more details or clues about whether he plans to run, but he gave little. He will be in <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:placename st=\"on\">Silver<\/st1:placename> <st1:placetype st=\"on\">City<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place> later this week to attend the funeral for state Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/legis.state.nm.us\/lcs\/legdetails.asp?Name=199&amp;Submit=Search\" target=\"_blank\">Manuel Herrera<\/a>, who died this weekend, and may talk with some potential supporters while he\u2019s in Grant County.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Three Democrats have already entered the race: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kisslingforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Al Kissling<\/a>, Do\u00f1a Ana County Commissioner <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billmccamley.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bill McCamley<\/a> and former Lea County Commissioner <a href=\"http:\/\/haussamen.blogspot.com\/2007\/10\/former-lea-county-commissioner-to-run.html\">Harry Teague<\/a>. Several other Democrats and Republicans are considering running for the seat, which Pearce is vacating because he\u2019s running for the Senate seat being vacated by <a href=\"http:\/\/domenici.senate.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pete Domenici<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>State Rep.
