Bush\u00a0(said) Palin, who is considering a presidential run in 2012, seems &#8220;very happy in Alaska&#8221; but then adds, <strong>&#8220;I hope she&#8217;ll stay there.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, there you go. She said it.\u00a0Sarah Palin should steer clear of a presidential bid.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0the spirit of being frank &#8211; thank you, Barbara Bush, and I could not agree more.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Why?\u00a0 Well, let&#8217;s just\u00a0start by stating\u00a0the obvious.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>It&#8217;s hard to swallow the\u00a0 thought of the latest reality-show-turned-star as the next president of the United States.\u00a0(True, <em>Palin for President<\/em> is a much better option\u00a0than <em>Snookie for President, <\/em>but you get my drift.\u00a0True, both Palin and Snookie have newly-released books out. But, still, it\u00a0sets a warped\u00a0precedent.)<\/li>\n<li>The presidency is (or should be) about &#8220;executive&#8221; experience. If\u00a0 you truly want to be president, then why\u00a0dump\u00a0your governorship?\u00a0 That&#8217;s about as executive as executive gets.\u00a0And, so, why\u00a0abandon the one,\u00a0legitimate qualifier that you have in your back pocket?<\/li>\n<li>Continuing on this point &#8211; people elect\u00a0candidates\u00a0because they\u00a0are choosing to rely\u00a0upon that candidate.\u00a0Surrendering what you\u00a0were voted in to finish does not spell winner to me.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>While a strong center-right, business-minded female (with\u00a0&#8220;executive&#8221; experience) would be a stellar addition to the\u00a0roster of 2012 GOP-hopefuls, we have yet to see such a candidate rise.
