It is my fervent wish that a Democrat like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomudall.house.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Udall<\/a> decides to run for the United States Senate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Hannan, of <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Santa Fe<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>, provided no further comment to me on whether he would drop out of the race if Udall were to enter it, but had this to say to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqtrib.com\/news\/2007\/oct\/04\/dem-challengers-sen-domenici-might-be-overshadowed\/\" target=\"_blank\">Albuquerque Tribune<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cObviously, if it\u2019s Tom Udall or somebody with great credentials coming into the race, I would immediately withdraw,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019d love to see Tom or someone like that jump in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Hannan once worked for the late U.S. Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mo_Udall\" target=\"_blank\">Mo Udall<\/a>, D-Ariz. and an uncle of Tom Udall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Hannan released today the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jimhannan.com\/alibi5.htm\" target=\"_blank\">26th advertisement<\/a> (and probably the last) in his campaign against Domenici. He has been running newspaper ads in <st1:city st=\"on\">Albuquerque<\/st1:city>, <st1:city st=\"on\">Santa Fe<\/st1:city> and <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Las Cruces<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> for months attacking Domenici\u2019s record.
