{"id":22203,"date":"2010-10-06T12:16:59","date_gmt":"2010-10-06T18:16:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/?p=22203"},"modified":"2010-10-06T12:17:01","modified_gmt":"2010-10-06T18:17:01","slug":"denish-internal-poll-has-her-trailing-martinez-by-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/10\/denish-internal-poll-has-her-trailing-martinez-by-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Denish internal poll has her trailing Martinez by 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_18240\"  class=\"wp-caption module image alignright\" style=\"max-width: 300px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18240\" title=\"Martinez, Denish\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Martinez-Denish.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"221\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Susana Martinez (left, courtesy photo) and Diane Denish (Photo by Heath Haussamen)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Remember how I wrote <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/10\/poll-analysis-martinez-remains-in-control\/\">earlier this week<\/a> that there had been \u201cremarkable consistency\u201d among most polls in the governor\u2019s race showing Democrat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dianedenish.com\/\">Diane Denish<\/a> stuck in the lower 40s and Republican <a href=\"http:\/\/www.susanamartinez2010.com\/\">Susana Martinez<\/a> in the upper 40s or better?<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s no longer true.<\/p>\n<p>A new internal poll conducted for the Denish campaign has her trailing Martinez by 3 points, 49 percent to 46 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The survey of 602 likely voters, conducted Sept. 30 to Oct. 4 by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/static\/PPM176_101006_denish_memo.html\">the poll memo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDenish has gained momentum and is now in striking distance of Martinez,\u201d the memo states. \u201c\u2026 Denish\u2019s gains come amid rising concerns about Martinez.
