The lawsuit was filed by the ACLU on behalf of Beagles in May.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The case is assigned to Federal Magistrate Carmen Garza. The settlement conference will be held on Nov. 29, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roswell-record.com\/main.asp?SectionID=49&amp;SubSectionID=112&amp;ArticleID=15437\" target=\"_blank\">Roswell Daily Record<\/a> is reporting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Adair\u2019s attorney told the newspaper the senator \u201cintends to vigorously defend against the allegations.\u201d Adair admits to speaking to the Senate\u2019s security after a confrontation with Beagles, but says he didn\u2019t demand the Beagles be barred from the hearing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A judge has scheduled a settlement conference in Las Cruces in the case of a state senator who is being sued by the American Civil Liberties Union for allegedly barring a man from a committee meeting in violation of his First Amendment rights.
