The combination of the two is why you haven\u2019t seen many articles on NMPolitics.net this week. I\u2019m back in town now, but still sick, so I\u2019m going to have to take today off. I hope to be back to work on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, here are some links to interesting articles from the last few days, in case you missed them:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Albuquerque Journal has been scrutinizing Republican gubernatorial candidate Susana Martinez\u2019s past as district attorney, publishing two articles (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/news\/state\/062341353283newsstate08-06-10.htm\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/news\/state\/070733state08-07-10.htm\">here<\/a>) about her office\u2019s purchasing of supplies from a company owned by an employee and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/news\/state\/0915411state08-09-10.htm\">another article<\/a> about Martinez being tops among the state\u2019s district attorneys in giving employees extra pay.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 KOAT-TV in Albuquerque has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmfbihop.com\/diary\/4163\/antipearce-defenders-of-wildlife-ad-pulled-from-koat\">pulled a TV ad<\/a> attacking 2nd Congressional District candidate Steve Pearce after the Pearce campaign argued that the ad was false and misleading.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Some Democrats are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.santafenewmexican.com\/Local%20News\/Secretary-of-State-race-Republican-challenger-sees-support-from\">crossing the political divide<\/a> in the secretary of state\u2019s race to support the Republican candidate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Heath Haussamen is sick and taking today off.
