A day after a new poll showed him gaining on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in New Mexico, Republican nominee Donald Trump\u00a0has decided to hold a campaign rally here.<\/p>\n

Trump’s rally will be in Albuquerque on Sunday at 7 p.m.\u00a0at Atlantic Aviation, 2505 Clark Carr Loop SE<\/a>, near\u00a0the Albuquerque International Sunport. Gates open at 4 p.m. People can RSVP to attend by clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the newest publicly released poll<\/a> of New Mexico,\u00a0Clinton led Trump by 5 percentage points, 45-40, heading into the final stretch of the campaign. Support for Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, New Mexico\u2019s former governor, dropped in the new poll to 9 percent.<\/p>\n

The statewide survey of 1,899 likely voters was conducted Monday by ZiaPoll. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.25 percent.<\/p>\n

In an article about Trump’s Sunday rally, the Albuquerque Journal<\/a> quoted an unnamed senior Trump aide as saying internal campaign polling shows the race to be a “dead heat” in New Mexico.<\/p>\n

Clinton has yet to hold a public rally in New Mexico, but her running-mate\u2019s wife, Anne Holton, campaigned\u00a0in Northern New Mexico this week<\/a>. Trump hasn\u2019t held a rally in the state since May<\/a>, but his\u00a0running-mate, Mike Pence, was here last week<\/a>.<\/p>\n
