Richardson and the four other candidates in the race split 4 percent in the poll, and 21 percent were undecided.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:state st=\"on\">Florida<\/st1:state> moved up its primary earlier this year to Jan. 29 \u2013 the same day as <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">South Carolina<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> \u2013 in opposition to the wishes of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dnc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Democratic National Committee<\/a>. It\u2019s unclear whether any candidates might choose to skip the primary to honor the wishes of the national party, but <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:city><\/st1:place> has said he will participate there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The poll isn\u2019t encouraging in any way for the governor\u2019s campaign, however. <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> had a favorability rating of 73 percent, while Obama\u2019s was 62 percent and Edwards\u2019 was 60 percent. Even Joe Biden\u2019s 35 percent was higher than <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>\u2019s 32 percent. Both were viewed unfavorably by 39 percent in the poll.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The survey of 457 likely Democratic primary voters, conducted July 18 and 19, has a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:city> doesn\u2019t plan any trips to <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">Florida<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> in the next two weeks. He\u2019s putting all his effort into <st1:state st=\"on\">Iowa<\/st1:state> and <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Hampshire<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">He\u2019s in <st1:state st=\"on\">Iowa<\/st1:state> today, and will be in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Hampshire<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> from Thursday to Saturday. He\u2019ll spend Saturday evening and Sunday fundraising in <st1:state st=\"on\">New York<\/st1:state> and Monday fundraising in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>. He has no public events scheduled for Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">A week from today, he\u2019ll spend the day fundraising in <st1:state st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:state> before spending Aug. 2 and 3 in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Iowa<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>. He\u2019ll attend a candidate debate in <st1:state st=\"on\">Illinois<\/st1:state> on Aug. 4 but will return to <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">Iowa<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> that evening, and will be there through Aug. 6.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new poll finds that Gov.
