He said that&#8217;s\u00a0the most votes in any county in the state since early voting began Tuesday. It\u00a0even tops\u00a0Bernalillo County, which has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newmexico-demographics.com\/counties_by_population\" target=\"_blank\">more than three times as many residents<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Still, Bernalillo County&#8217;s numbers were also impressive. The county clerk there, Maggie Toulouse Oliver, said 1,996 people had\u00a0voted as of Thursday. That&#8217;s more than twice the number of voters in Bernalillo County at that\u00a0point in the last presidential election in 2012, she said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think interest in the presidential race has people highly motivated,&#8221; Oliver said.<\/p>\n<p>Voting continues through Election Day, which is Nov. 8.
