The meeting starts at 7:30 a.m. Mountain Standard Time and should be webcast. You can watch by clicking <a href=\"http:\/\/energy.senate.gov\/public\/index.cfm?FuseAction=Hearings.NoWebcast\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The legislation, from Bingaman and Sen. <a href=\"http:\/\/tomudall.senate.gov\/\">Tom Udall<\/a>, D-N.M., would designate almost 250,000 acres as\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wilderness#United_States\">wilderness<\/a> and 100,000 acres as\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_Conservation_Area\">national conservation areas<\/a>. In addition to the Organ Mountains, land on and around the Potrillo, Robledo and Do\u00f1a Ana mountains would be protected.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A committee chaired by Sen.
