{"id":19182,"date":"2010-07-06T10:21:03","date_gmt":"2010-07-06T16:21:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/?p=19182"},"modified":"2010-07-06T10:21:03","modified_gmt":"2010-07-06T16:21:03","slug":"new-prc-member-sworn-in-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/07\/new-prc-member-sworn-in-today\/","title":{"rendered":"New PRC member sworn in today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->Theresa Becenti-Aguilar is being sworn in this morning as the newest member of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmprc.state.nm.us\/\">Public Regulation Commission<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/newmexicoindependent.com\/58714\/new-prc-commissioner-becenti-aguilar-takes-office\">New Mexico Independent<\/a> is reporting.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Bill Richardson <a href=\"http:\/\/www.governor.state.nm.us\/press.php?id=1642\">appointed Becenti-Aguilar<\/a> last week to replace Carol Sloan, who was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/06\/high-court-removes-sloan-from-office\/\">removed from the job<\/a> by the state Supreme Court after being convicted on two felony charges.<\/p>\n<p>In appointing Becenti-Aguliar, a Democrat, Richardson was stepping into the November election and giving her an incumbency advantage over her GOP opponent, Gary Montoya.
