{"id":1882,"date":"2007-06-22T11:54:00","date_gmt":"2007-06-22T17:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2007\/06\/richardson-remains-at-6-percent-in-nevada\/"},"modified":"2007-06-22T11:54:00","modified_gmt":"2007-06-22T17:54:00","slug":"richardson-remains-at-6-percent-in-nevada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2007\/06\/richardson-remains-at-6-percent-in-nevada\/","title":{"rendered":"Richardson remains at 6 percent in Nevada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/RnwNG9ANOdI\/AAAAAAAACp4\/4LhC71nkHys\/s1600-h\/Richardsonforpresident.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/RnwNG9ANOdI\/AAAAAAAACp4\/4LhC71nkHys\/s200\/Richardsonforpresident.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5078948892872882642\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>Gov. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.richardsonforpresident.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bill Richardson\u2019s<\/a> support in <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">Nevada<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> is at 6 percent in the newest poll.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">That represents no change from the last major poll taken in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Nevada<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> several weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The newest poll, conducted by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanresearchgroup.com\/pres08\/nvdem8-701.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">American Research Group<\/a>, has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hillaryclinton.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hillary Clinton<\/a> leading with 40 percent of support of likely Democratic caucus goers. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.johnedwards.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">John Edwards<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barackobama.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Barack Obama<\/a> each have 16 percent, and <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> is in fourth place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Support for all four increased slightly since the last ARG poll was conducted in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Nevada<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> in December. In the newest poll, no other candidate was above the margin of error and 15 percent said they were undecided.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The new poll, conducted June 15-19, surveyed 600 likely Democratic caucus goers and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The most recent poll of <st1:state st=\"on\">Nevada<\/st1:state> conducted before this newest poll, done for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lvrj.com\/news\/7358326.html\" target=\"_blank\">Las Vegas Review-Journal<\/a>, had <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> at 37 percent, Edwards at 13 percent, Obama at 12 percent and Richardson at 6 percent. It also included <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Al_gore\" target=\"_blank\">Al Gore<\/a>, who isn\u2019t in the race but was at 9 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The new poll didn\u2019t include Gore.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Though <st1:city st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:city> says the early contest in <st1:state st=\"on\">Nevada<\/st1:state> is very important to his presidential run, the reality is that he has focused all of his money and most of his time in <st1:state st=\"on\">Iowa<\/st1:state> and <st1:state st=\"on\">New  Hampshire<\/st1:state>, where most recent polls have him at between 8 and 10 percent, but the newest <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">Iowa<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> poll has him at 6 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">This is the second poll to come out this week that may point toward a leveling off of <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>\u2019s poll numbers after a quick climb in the polls in May.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gov.
