Speakers at the First Forum will talk from the national perspective about the condition of our democracy, cross-party collaboration, and strategies for bringing Americans together without watering down our beliefs,\u201d the organization\u2019s Web site states.<\/p>\n<p>Keynote speakers are Mike McCurry, the former press secretary for President Bill Clinton, and Frank Fahrenkopf, former chair of the Republican National Committee. According to a news release, the speakers will also offer first-hand insight on when bi-partisanship works and when it doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?f=q&amp;source=s_q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=national+hispanic+cultural+center,+1701+4th+Street+SW,+albuquerque&amp;sll=35.069257,-106.655059&amp;sspn=0.012452,0.018024&amp;g=1701+4th+Street+SW,+albuquerque&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=national+hispanic+cultural+center,&amp;hnear=1701+4th+St+SW,+Albuquerque,+Bernalillo,+New+Mexico+87102&amp;ll=35.068291,-106.655638&amp;spn=0.012452,0.018024&amp;z=16&amp;iwloc=A\">1701 4th Street SW<\/a> in Albuquerque.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be moderated by ABC newsman and New Mexico rancher Sam Donaldson, who will also present awards to lawmakers New Mexico First believes have proven their ability to put good policy above partisan politics.
