Frietze interrupted when Miyagishima was asking about roads in the development, saying he felt he needed to \u201ctake a stand here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cI feel that there\u2019s some kind of attempt here to keep it from a vote,\u201d he said, urging Mayor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.las-cruces.org\/council\/mayor.shtm\" target=\"_blank\">Bill Mattiace<\/a> to move the meeting along.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/RlJc1Ird2qI\/AAAAAAAACX4\/zcJCW-Ruys0\/s1600-h\/Miyagishima__Ken.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/RlJc1Ird2qI\/AAAAAAAACX4\/zcJCW-Ruys0\/s200\/Miyagishima__Ken.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5067214598677846690\" border=\"0\"><\/a>There was a testy exchange between Miyagishima and Frietze before Mattiace said he agreed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cI think you\u2019re trying to filibuster this,\u201d Frietze told Miyagishima before Mattiace asked a city staffer to continue with his presentation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Miyagishima said there is no such thing as a filibuster in a city council meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Las Cruces City Councilor Jose Frietze just accused Councilor Ken Miyagishima of trying to filibuster a vote on The Vistas at Presidio.
