{"id":16434,"date":"2010-04-24T08:38:46","date_gmt":"2010-04-24T14:38:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/?p=16434"},"modified":"2010-04-24T08:38:47","modified_gmt":"2010-04-24T14:38:47","slug":"city-council-to-meet-in-closed-session-about-moore%e2%80%99s-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/04\/city-council-to-meet-in-closed-session-about-moore%e2%80%99s-contract\/","title":{"rendered":"City council to meet in closed session about Moore\u2019s contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_14081\"  class=\"wp-caption module image alignright\" style=\"max-width: 120px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14081\" title=\"Moore, Terrence\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Moore-Terrence.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"160\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Terrence Moore<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Las Cruces city councilors will meet in closed session on Monday to discuss adding \u201cperformance objectives\u201d to City Manager\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/las-cruces.org\/manager\/\">Terrence Moore\u2019s<\/a> contract.<\/p>\n<p>The council met last month to discuss a number of issues surrounding Moore, including an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/03\/sheriff-takes-over-case-involving-las-cruces-city-manager\/\">ongoing law enforcement investigation<\/a> into two incidents involving Moore and his ex-wife, reimbursements Moore made to the city earlier this year for some costs associated with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/01\/cruces-manager-reimburses-city-for-travel-costs\/\">two business trips<\/a> he took last year, and the fact that he had his administrative assistant <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/01\/las-cruces-manager-had-city-staffer-babysit-kids\/\">babysit his children<\/a> in December while she was on the clock.<\/p>\n<p>Following that meeting, Mayor\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/las-cruces.org\/council\/mayor.shtm\">Ken Miyagishima<\/a> said the council considered the law enforcement probe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/03\/mayor-council-considers-sheriff-probe-a-%E2%80%98personal-issue%E2%80%99-for-moore\/\">a \u201cpersonal issue\u201d<\/a> for Moore and would \u201cfigure out if there\u2019s anything we need to do\u201d once it was complete. That probe is still ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Monday\u2019s meeting, Miyagishima has said, will focus on adding measurable goals to <a href=\"http:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/Documents\/TerrenceMooreContract.pdf\">Moore\u2019s contract<\/a>.
