He\u2019s leasing 3,200 acres of the land from the state under an agreement you can read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.haussamen.com\/LandOfficeAgreement.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>, and gave $20,500 last year to <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.sos.state.nm.us\/Webethics\/filedreportdetail.aspx?pitemid=10066&#038;rp=2006\" target=\"_blank\">Blue &amp; Red PAC<\/a>, a committee set up by Democratic lobbyist <a href=\"http:\/\/ethics.sos.state.nm.us\/LOBBY\/980063.HTM\" target=\"_blank\">Domonic Silva<\/a> and Republican Lobbyist <a href=\"http:\/\/ethics.sos.state.nm.us\/LOBBY\/980002.HTM\" target=\"_blank\">David Kimble<\/a>. The committee, in turn, gave almost $18,000 to <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Lyons<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Albuquerque Journal<\/a> reported on the donations today, and picked up on a couple of details I missed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">For example, I asked Silva before I wrote my article if he represented Philippou as a lobbyist, and he told me he did not. He told me that he and Kimble were friends with <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Lyons<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I didn\u2019t ask the right question, but apparently the Journal did, because the newspaper was able to report that Kimble has represented one of Philippou\u2019s companies as a lobbyist over the last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The article is worth reading.
