He disclosed the contributions Monday on a financial report required by the city, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/news\/metro\/557310metro04-24-07.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Albuquerque Journal<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Before you get too impressed, remember that Lt. Gov. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ltgovernor.state.nm.us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Diane Denish<\/a> has already raised more than $1 million for her 2010 gubernatorial run. But Ch\u00e1vez\u2019s is a solid three-month total that reveals there will be support for a strong challenger to Denish, and he could be that candidate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Ch\u00e1vez received $1,000 or more from 71 donors, including $10,000 from New Mexico Real Estate Inc., the Journal reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/Ri4LlT3FS_I\/AAAAAAAACGw\/_wsYzoXC19I\/s1600-h\/Denish,+Diane.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/Ri4LlT3FS_I\/AAAAAAAACGw\/_wsYzoXC19I\/s200\/Denish,+Diane.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5056992167198018546\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>\u201cI\u2019m really pleased,\u201d the newspaper quoted Ch\u00e1vez as saying. \u201cIt\u2019s gratifying. I have a lot of friends and supporters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Chavez said most of the money came from one fundraising event, and said he turned down money from lobbyists and others that would have been inappropriate to accept during the legislative session.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Ch\u00e1vez\u2019s city reports must be filed quarterly.
