He reported expenses of just under $50,000 and has almost $200,000 on hand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Pearce reported contributions of just over $75,000 from individuals and $39,100 from political action committees \u2013 the majority of them oil and energy PACs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Pearce is raising money and doing other work in <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:placename st=\"on\">Do\u00f1a<\/st1:placename> <st1:placename st=\"on\">Ana<\/st1:placename>  <st1:placename st=\"on\">County<\/st1:placename><\/st1:place>, where he has already drawn two Democratic challengers \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kisslingforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Al Kissling<\/a>, who he defeated in 2006, and Do\u00f1a Ana County Commissioner <a href=\"http:\/\/www.donaanacounty.org\/commissioners\/district5\" target=\"_blank\">Bill McCamley<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Contributors included a number of businessmen in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Las Cruces<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>, including La Posta restaurant owner Tom Hutchinson and realtor David Ikard, who each gave $1,000. Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino owner Stan Fulton gave $2,100.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The only Republican among McCamley\u2019s colleagues on the commission, Kent Evans, gave $200 to Pearce.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Pearce already has eyes on McCamley. His 2006 campaign manager, Grant Olson, attended last week\u2019s commission meeting because of an item on the agenda. That item was taken care of early in the meeting, but Olson sat in the back of the room for the remainder of the meeting.
