That&#8217;s 30,000 out of 101,000 votes that went to people other than Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Ted Cruz had 13 percent of the vote and John Kasich had 8 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Matt Robinson, a school board member in Deming, was among those who voted for\u00a0Trump on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Not my first choice by any means, but I think he&#8217;s got a chance to beat Hillary,&#8221; Robinson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/haussamen\/posts\/10101105549247731?comment_id=10101105553783641&amp;comment_tracking=%7B%22tn%22%3A%22R%22%7D\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a>. &#8220;I don&#8217;t agree with all of his ideas, but I think he will put America first and he&#8217;s not a typical politician.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Robinson said he&#8217;s appreciates Trump&#8217;s &#8220;honesty and attitude&#8221; and doesn&#8217;t think he&#8217;s racist. He asked Republicans who voted for others on Tuesday to &#8220;look further into issues before taking headlines at face value.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Not all agree.\u00a0Deb Darby of Albuquerque <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/haussamen\/posts\/10101105549247731?comment_id=10101105590979101&amp;comment_tracking=%7B%22tn%22%3A%22R%22%7D\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> she voted in Tuesday&#8217;s GOP primary but left the presidential question on her ballot blank &#8220;because I don&#8217;t think my vote carries any weight.&#8221; And Lee Sultemeier of Corona voted Tuesday, but only in local and state races.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The presidential race is a really bad joke,&#8221; Sultemeier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/haussamen\/posts\/10101105549247731?comment_id=10101105595664711&amp;notif_t=feed_comment&amp;notif_id=1465348960800294#\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a>. &#8220;None of the candidates still running have the qualities needed to run this country.&#8221;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Donna Duerre of Rio Rancho didn&#8217;t vote at all in the primary. Duerre, a Republican, said she plans to vote for Libertarian presidential nominee\u00a0Gary Johnson in November, &#8220;because he has the fiscal conservative values I share and the progressive social values I live.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If New Mexico had open primaries,\u00a0Duerre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/haussamen\/posts\/10101105549247731?comment_id=10101105559028131&amp;notif_t=like&amp;notif_id=1465349688998765#\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> she would have voted on Tuesday for Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, &#8220;for many of the same reasons I like Johnson.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Gary has pledged to adopt many of the platform items of Bernie&#8217;s campaign and I like that idea,&#8221; Duerre said. &#8220;I think if he can draw enough Sanders supporters, he has a real shot at this election.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The division revealed in New Mexico by the Republican primary vote\u00a0comes on a day when many national GOP leaders <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/politics\/la-na-pol-election-trump-20160607-snap-story.html\" target=\"_blank\">denounced Trump<\/a> for\u00a0calling into question the impartiality of a federal judge because of his Mexican heritage. Trump claimed Tuesday that his comments about the judge had been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/06\/08\/us\/politics\/trump-university-judge.html\" target=\"_blank\">misconstrued<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, D-S.C., wasn&#8217;t buying it. He called for Republicans <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/entry\/lindsey-graham-donald-trump_us_575700fee4b0ca5c7b5038c2\" target=\"_blank\">to unendorse Trump<\/a>. And U.S. Sen.
