Susana Martinez<\/p><\/div>\n

Republican gubernatorial candidate Susana Martinez<\/a> raised $428,064.67 from Oct. 1 to April 5, her campaign reported today.<\/p>\n

Martinez spent $194,809.27 and ended the reporting period with $363,913.24 on hand, according to her report<\/a>. She had no loans, and reported an additional $50,720.48 in in-kind contributions.<\/p>\n

Among Martinez\u2019s contributions is a whopping $100,000 donation from Mack Energy Corp. of Artesia. I also spotted another contribution from the company for $17,500 in my quick glance through the report.<\/p>\n

Earlier today, one of Martinez\u2019s primary opponents, Janice Arnold-Jones<\/a>, reported that she had raised a little more than $110,000<\/a> in financial contributions and had another $54,193.79 in loans, for a total of more than $164,000 in fundraising.<\/p>\n

Finance reports for other GOP candidates, Allen Weh<\/a>, Doug Turner<\/a> and Pete Domenici Jr.,<\/a> aren\u2019t yet online.<\/p>\n

Also, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Diane Denish<\/a> announced earlier today that she had raised more than $1.1 million<\/a> during the reporting period.<\/p>\n

In a news release, Martinez highlighted that she has raised nearly $250,000 since she won the preprimary nominating convention<\/a> last month. The release said 95 percent of Martinez\u2019s 1,300 contributions reflected in today\u2019s report came from outside Las Cruces, and 83 percent of her total contributions have been for $100 or less.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am deeply humbled by the support my campaign has received from every corner of our great state,\u201d Martinez said. \u201cI believe my message that reform and accountability will bring bold change to New Mexico is resonating and our campaign will have the necessary resources to communicate it statewide.\u00a0\u201c<\/p>\n
