Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders added a third stop to his New Mexico campaign trip late Wednesday, announcing he will hold a public rally in Vado — a rural community in Southern Do\u00f1a Ana County — on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Doors open at 10 a.m. Saturday for the rally at Vado Elementary School, which is located at\u00a0330 Holguin Road<\/a>.\u00a0The event is free and open to the public, but the campaign \u201cstrongly encouraged\u201d RSVPs \u2014 which you can do by clicking here<\/a> \u2014 because admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0news release states that people shouldn\u2019t bring bags and should limit what they bring to \u201csmall, personal items like keys and cell phones.\u201d \u201cWeapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners on sticks” aren’t\u00a0allowed, the release states.<\/p>\n

Sanders plans to discuss issues including “getting big money out of politics, his plan to make public colleges and universities tuition-free, combating climate change and ensuring universal health care,” a news release states.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Sanders announced that he will hold public rallies in Santa Fe and Albuquerque on Friday<\/a>.\u00a0He\u2019s\u00a0the first candidate to announce that he will attend public rallies in New Mexico ahead of the state\u2019s June 7 primary.<\/p>\n

Sanders, who trails Hillary Clinton by a wide margin in the delegate race<\/a> for the Democratic Party\u2019s nomination, has been written off by many pundits and analysts, but he\u00a0continues to battle on<\/a>.<\/p>\n
