\"\"<\/a>Lt. Gov. Diane Denish<\/a> will be in Las Cruces<\/st1:city><\/st1:place> and Hatch on Thursday for a number of events. <\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Denish, who is planning to run for governor in 2010, will begin her day teaching a women\u2019s history class at 11 a.m. at Mayfield High School<\/a>, and will then present a certificate of achievement to the AAAAA state champion Mayfield girl\u2019s basketball team, according to a news release.<\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

At 1 p.m., she will attend a town hall meeting in Hatch with other elected officials to discuss flooding. The event will be held at the Hatch<\/st1:placename> Community Center<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place>, 837 West Hall Street<\/a>, and is open to the public.<\/p>\n

At 4 p.m., Denish will meet with Sens. Mary Kay Papen<\/a> and Mary Jane Garcia<\/a> at the Four Hill Apartments, 2595 Mars Avenue<\/a>, to discuss affordable housing. Papen and Denish were instrumental this year in securing legislative approval of an overhaul of the state\u2019s housing authority system.<\/p>\n

That event is also open to the public.<\/p>\n

At 6 p.m., Denish will head to the Court<\/st1:placetype> Youth<\/st1:placename> Center<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place> for the annual convention of the Do\u00f1a Ana County Democratic Party<\/a>.<\/p>\n
