By comparison, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hillaryclinton.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hillary Clinton<\/a> raised $26 million and transferred another $10 million from her Senate fundraising account. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.johnedwards.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">John Edwards<\/a> raised more than $14 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The figures were released by the campaigns, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barackobama.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Barack Obama<\/a> didn\u2019t release a dollar amount. Reports that detail fundraising efforts of the presidential candidates will be released later this month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>\u2019s fundraising total for the quarter included more than $540,000 he raised in the last week, exceeding his goal of $500,000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/hotlineblog.nationaljournal.com\/archives\/2007\/04\/richardson_rais.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Hotline<\/a> reported that <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> spokesman Pahl Shipley said the campaign is \u201cpleased with where we are. We\u2019re on goal, on budget, and we\u2019re in it for the duration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The blog noted that, unlike <st1:city st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:city>, <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:city><\/st1:place> couldn\u2019t transfer money to his presidential account, because he is currently a state official and federal law prohibits such transfers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The Hotline\u2019s verdict: \u201c$6 million is a show of strength for a sitting governor not considered to be in the top tier.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Score one for the only governor in the race. But score one for <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> as well.
