{"id":14826,"date":"2010-03-19T15:13:48","date_gmt":"2010-03-19T21:13:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/?p=14826"},"modified":"2010-03-19T15:13:52","modified_gmt":"2010-03-19T21:13:52","slug":"trujillo-named-new-state-elections-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/03\/trujillo-named-new-state-elections-director\/","title":{"rendered":"Trujillo named new state elections director"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_14827\"  class=\"wp-caption module image alignleft\" style=\"max-width: 120px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14827\" title=\"Trujillo, Don Francisco\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Trujillo-Don-Francisco.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"160\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Don Francisco Trujillo<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Deputy Secretary of State <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sos.state.nm.us\/sos-DepSec.html\">Don Francisco Trujillo<\/a> has been appointed to serve as state elections director, Secretary of State <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sos.state.nm.us\/sos-SecBio.html\">Mary Herrera<\/a> announced this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Trujillo served as interim Bureau of Elections Director in 2008 and again in early 2009.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon Francisco Trujillo has shown that he can run a good election, and that\u2019s what we\u2019re going to have in 2010 with him at BOE,\u201d Herrera said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>Trujillo\u2019s appointment is effective immediately. He replaces A.J. Salazar, who alleged two weeks ago\u00a0that Herrera is violating the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sos.state.nm.us\/PDF\/gca1.pdf\">Governmental Conduct Act<\/a> and elections law in his resignation letter.
