It is clear that change is needed in\u00a0New Mexico, starting with the United States congressional representatives from New Mexico on down to the state\u2019s elected positions,\u201d he said. \u201cI am pleased with the support I received from so many Republicans. I look forward to defeating Ben Ray Lujan Jr. and representing the people in the 3rd district.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Update, 7 p.m.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kokesh didn\u2019t qualify for the ballot today but plans to stay in the race.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur campaign is energized, and we\u2019re committed to winning the\u00a0primary election,\u201d Kokesh said in a news release.\u00a0\u201cWe are a grassroots campaign, and over the next two and half months we will be calling on our many supporters to help us win this important election, and do our part to unseat the Luj\u00e1n-Pelosi-Reid Congress and stop the Obama agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cravens had this to say in a news release:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m humbled by the support of my fellow republicans at the Republican preprimary convention. The faith they have showed in me to be their choice as New Mexico\u2019s next lieutenant governor is an honor,\u201d he said. \u201c\u2026 Despite being outspent, and a late start to the campaign, it was heart-warming that our message resonated so strongly with the republican delegates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Update, 2:55 p.m.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lieutenant governor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Brian Moore: 41.24 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Kent Cravens: 27.64 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 John Sanchez: 22.81 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 J.R. Damron: 8.29 percent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Land Commissioner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Matt Rush: 64.87 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 James Jackson: 18.03 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Spiro Vassilopoulos: 13.34 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Bob Cornelius: 3.74 percent<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Update, 2:10 p.m.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Governor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Susana Martinez \u2013 46.65 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Allen Weh \u2013 26.32 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Janice Arnold-Jones \u2013 13.16 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Doug Turner \u2013 9.23 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Pete Domenici Jr. \u2013 4.61 percent<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Earlier post:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s already been some voting at the state Republican Party\u2019s preprimary convention today. I&#8217;ll keep this blog updated as new results come in.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2nd Congressional District<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Steve Pearce \u2013 92 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Cliff Pirtle \u2013 8 percent<\/p>\n<p>A candidate has to get 20 percent to appear on the ballot, or collect a number of extra signatures before Tuesday if they fail in that task, so Pirtle will have to collect more signatures if he wants to stay in the race.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3rd Congressional District<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Tom Mullins \u2013 80.5 percent<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Adam Kokesh \u2013 19.5 percent<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not clear at this point if Kokesh has earned his way on the ballot. There\u2019s some sort of recount going on and there\u2019s also a question about whether numbers should be rounded up.
