What\u2019s unique is that members of the House Judiciary Committee will listen in on the hearing so that they can quickly vote on the measure during their own hearing on Monday without listening to testimony.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/Rd9ZH4dWFRI\/AAAAAAAABI8\/u7jeASAUL4g\/s1600-h\/Garcia,+Mary+Jane.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/Rd9ZH4dWFRI\/AAAAAAAABI8\/u7jeASAUL4g\/s200\/Garcia,+Mary+Jane.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5034840900372927762\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>That will move the bill to the House floor as early as next week, assuming both committees approve it, which is likely.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Saturday\u2019s hearing will take place approximately 30 minutes after the end of the House floor session.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The cockfighting ban passed the Senate earlier this month on a vote of 31-11.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p style=\"font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\">Update, 3 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">KRWG Radio has a story on the air today examining the cockfighting debate.
