{"id":12573,"date":"2010-02-04T12:08:26","date_gmt":"2010-02-04T19:08:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/?p=12573"},"modified":"2010-02-04T12:09:00","modified_gmt":"2010-02-04T19:09:00","slug":"house-committee-may-hear-another-webcasting-bill-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/02\/house-committee-may-hear-another-webcasting-bill-today\/","title":{"rendered":"House committee may hear another webcasting bill today"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_11752\"  class=\"wp-caption module image alignleft\" style=\"max-width: 300px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11752\" title=\"Steinborn, Jeff\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/Steinborn-Jeff.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"263\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jeff Steinborn (Photo by Heath Haussamen)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/committeedisplay.aspx?CommitteeCode=HAFC\">House Appropriations and Finance Committee<\/a> may consider another bill that would expand webcasting this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/_session.aspx?chamber=H&amp;legtype=JM&amp;legno=%20%2015&amp;year=10\">House Joint Memorial 15<\/a>, sponsored by Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/legdetails.aspx?SPONCODE=HSTEI\">Jeff Steinborn<\/a>, D-Las Cruces, would request that Legislative Council Service, \u201cwithin budgetary and technological constraints,\u201d webcast audio and video of interim committee meetings starting this year.<\/p>\n<p>The committee meets in Room 307 at the Roundhouse this afternoon. The memorial would need approval of the House and Senate to be enacted.<\/p>\n<p>The House has already taken <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2010\/01\/house-deserves-praise-for-increasing-transparency\/\">two steps<\/a> to increase webcasting this year by expanding webcasting from the floor to include video and requiring audio webcasting of committee meetings this session.
