Larry Garcia has 159 votes, or 17 percent. That&#8217;s according to numbers provided by Votaw, who had runners checking receipts at each polling place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cIf it weren\u2019t so frightening, it would be exhilarating,\u201d Votaw said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The board will select an interim superintendent in the next month, before Votaw joins the board on March 1.
