Not coming from a high income family, not being a lawyer or a high brow politico was something I felt was lacking in the roundhouse,\u201d Solano wrote. \u201cI truly felt we were lacking a majority of progressive democrats who understood the hardships which typical middle and low income families endure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026 It is really too bad that the one thing the media, bloggers, and political operatives care about most is how much money a candidate can raise. The issues, the person are secondary in a state wide race to money,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The Democrat\u2019s exit leaves five candidates in the primary race &#8212; former state Democratic Party Chairman\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/electcolon.com\/\">Brian Col\u00f3n<\/a>, State Rep.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/joecampos.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jose Campos<\/a> of Santa Rosa, state Sens.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/votelindalopez.com\/default.aspx\">Linda Lopez<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/jerryfornewmexico.com\/\">Jerry Ortiz y Pino<\/a> of Albuquerque and former Mid-Region Council of Governments Executive Director\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rael2010.org\/\">Lawrence Rael<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Five Republicans have announced their candidacies for lieutenant governor &#8212; state Sen.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kentcravens.com\/\">Kent Cravens<\/a> of Albuquerque, 2006 Republican gubernatorial candidate\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.damronforltgovernor.com\/\">J.R.
