Gov. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gary_E._Johnson\">Gary Johnson<\/a> is heading to New Hampshire &#8212; the nation&#8217;s first presidential primary state &#8212; next month.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson, the honorary chairman of his political action committee\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ouramericainitiative.com\/\">Our America Initiative<\/a>, will be the keynote speaker at the <a id=\"go_y\" title=\"Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nhgopliberty.org\/2009\/rlcnh-forum-featuring-gary-johnson\/\">Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire<\/a> On Jan. 23 at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grapponeconferencecenter.com\/\">Grappone Center<\/a> in Concord, N.H.<\/p>\n<p>While Johnson, a libertarian-leaning Republican, has not declared his candidacy for president &#8212; or really even said he&#8217;s seriously considering running &#8212; he has been mentioned as a possible candidate in 2012 and has been a favorite of many of the same people who supported Ron Paul in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2009\/12\/politico-gary-johnson-%e2%80%98emerges-as-the-next-ron-paul%e2%80%99\/\">Politico<\/a> reported that Johnson is \u201cdoing little to knock down the idea that he may be looking toward a 2012 presidential run.\u201d Heading to New Hampshire two years before the nation&#8217;s first primary could add fuel to speculation that he&#8217;s preparing a national campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson, a two-term governor who preceded Gov. Bill Richardson, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/pressRelease\/idUS154136+21-Jan-2008+BW20080121\">endorsed Ron Paul<\/a> for president last year and spoke at Paul\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/newmexicoindependent.com\/182\/ex-nm-gov-gary-johnson-speaks-at-ron-paul-rally-in-minnesota\">Rally for the Republic<\/a> in Minnesota in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.santafenewmexican.com\/Local%20News\/Group-wants-Johnson-back-on-ballot\">grassroots group<\/a> has been running <a href=\"http:\/\/johnsonforamerica.com\/\">JohnsonForAmerica.com<\/a> and another group has set up a <a id=\"k7a.\" title=\"Gary Johnson For President in 2012\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/wall.php?id=38552147212&amp;page=1&amp;hash=b10f2a58d4e0e8418b47556664b9a8f8\">Gary Johnson For President in 2012<\/a> group on Facebook.\u00a0Earlier this year, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amconmag.com\/article\/2009\/apr\/20\/00035\/\">American Conservative<\/a> reported that Johnson said he was keeping his options open in regards to a 2012 presidential run.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson has been quite active lately.
