Bill Richardson to launch a presidential campaign in that state.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:city> has said he\u2019ll make the announcement \u2013 should he make it \u2013 in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>. He says it will come \u2013 should it come \u2013 in January.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Reynaldo Martinez says he\u2019ll lead a committee of 70 people to push for <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> in that state, which holds a caucus in January 2008, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/news\/state\/apnevada12-21-06.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Associated Press<\/a>. He said his list of supporters includes blacks, Hispanics, Asian-Americans, environmentalists and \u201csignificant Democratic Party activists,\u201d the news service reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Richardson and Reid pushed hard for <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Nevada<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>\u2019s caucus to become the second Democratic presidential nominating contest in the nation, and many analysts expect the governor to fare well there. One predicted last week that <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">Nevada<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> would come down to a race between Richardson and former Vice Presidential nominee John Edwards, whose relationships with unions have earned him many friends in that state.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">A spokesman for Reid told the news service that <st1:city st=\"on\">Martinez<\/st1:city>\u2019s support for <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> should not be interpreted as an endorsement from him. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A former aide to incoming Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada wants Gov.
