Haines is out on medical leave for an indefinite period. He and his family are evaluating surgical options to address a chronic pain issue. In the meantime, the chain of command for county business will be me, Chuck McMahon and John Caldwell. We\u2019ll be in contact with Mr. Haines as needed until he can return to work.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Haines\u2019 leave was effective Monday, county spokesman Jess Williams said.
