The big question now: When will we see it fly?<\/p>\n<p>The original estimate of when we\u2019d see Virgin\u2019s craft performing its duties from a completed Spaceport America has already passed. Still, things are underway. The spaceport runway is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2009\/09\/construction-on-spaceport-runway-gets-underway\/\">under construction<\/a>. And the rollout of SpaceShipTwo \u2013 a craft in which Virgin has invested about as much money as New Mexico has invested in the spaceport \u2013 is significant.<\/p>\n<p>The state has appropriated $200 million for construction of the spaceport.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. <a href=\"http:\/\/governor.state.nm.us\/\">Bill Richardson<\/a> was on hand for the unveiling of the craft in California on Monday.
