NMPolitics.net is proud to be funded primarily by people just like you. Our supporters<\/a>\u00a0come from around New Mexico and beyond, and from across the political spectrum.<\/p>\n

That’s by design. There’s no advertising or grant-funding model that doesn’t give a large funder outsized potential to influence a news organization. While we accept advertising and occasional small grants, we have worked hard to build a news organization that gets most of its funding from everyday New Mexicans — and is accountable to the same people.<\/p>\n

Our funding model is producing results. We’ve demonstrated repeatedly our commitment to watchdog journalism that follows the story no matter where it goes<\/a>. And we’ve been honored with state<\/a>, regional<\/a> and national<\/a> journalism awards<\/a> for our work.<\/p>\n

We don’t charge a required subscription fee because we believe people should have access to news and information about their government regardless of their ability to pay. So we instead ask you to give what you can afford to support our fiercely independent little news organization.<\/p>\n
