Public Regulation Commissioner Carol Sloan was sentenced today to five years on probation for felony convictions of aggravated battery and aggravated burglary. Being a convicted felon makes Sloan ineligible to hold office, and Attorney General Gary King filed a petition with the New Mexico Supreme Court asking that she be removed from the position.
