My plans for Election Day

Obviously, things will be a little different tomorrow, so here are my plans:

I won’t likely have any early-morning posts like I normally do. I’m going to sleep in a bit in preparation for the possibility that we’re going to be up very late.

Around mid-morning, I plan to start visiting polling sites. In addition, I’ll keep up with the news from around the state and nation. I’ll bring you periodic updates throughout the day.

When the polls close, I’ll be at the Doña Ana County Government Center, where they’ll be counting returns. For the first time, the county is giving reporters wireless Internet access, so I’ll be able to blog from the government center on election night and bring you the fastest updates on what’s happening.

I’ll post updated results as soon as they are available, and will have interviews with candidates and other news while we’re awaiting results.

You can let others know that this site is the place to keep up with results from Doña Ana County on election night by clicking on the envelope icon at the end of this posting.

You can send me news tips by e-mailing heath@haussamen.com.
