House members put earmark requests online

U.S. House members were required to post information about their earmark requests for the 2010 fiscal year online by April 3, and all three from New Mexico did that, the Albuquerque Journal is reporting.

The earmark requirement is a new rule designed to bring greater transparency to the appropriations process.

Senators don’t face the same requirement to disclose earmark requests online.
